Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
This program offers outpatient services for adults, children, and adolescents. The clinic provides psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, consultation, and medication management as well as therapy services including individual, family, couples, and group therapy. The focus of the program is to assist the client in identifying and accepting mental health barriers, to help in the establishment of new goals, to improve the understanding of feelings and attitudes, and to support independence and healthy living through the learning of new ways of dealing with problems with the use of psychotherapy and medication management.
Outpatient Mental Health services include the provision of a range of activities that include assessment and evaluation and individual, group, and family therapies, which are provided by outpatient mental health centers (OMHCs) regulated under COMAR 10.21.20 and 10.63.01. These services are provided by qualified clinical staff that includes mental health professionals authorized and/or licensed by the appropriate practice boards. HOME services shall provide services that are age- and culturally appropriate, coordinated with other components of the delivery system, and focused on recovery and resiliency of the communities that we serve.
HOME ensures that services are accessible and available at least 40 hours per week, during some weekend and evening hours, and provide emergency coverage 24 hours per day, seven days per week, as regulated under COMAR 10.21.20. The program was designed to address a variety of needs, including, but not limited to, situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, mental health issues, life span issues & psychiatric illnesses.
